Sacramental Eligibility
If you have been asked to be a godparent or a Confirmation sponsor, please consider the following qualifications:
___Are you a Catholic who is at least 16 years old?
___Have you received the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist?
___If married, did you complete marriage preparation with a Catholic priest or deacon, and was he present to witness the marriage?
___Do you attend Mass faithfully on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation?
___Do you receive the Eucharist and Sacrament of Reconcilation regularly?
___Have you been registered at Immaculate Conception for at least three months?
You must meet these requirements in order to receive eligibility letters from the parish office.
For the Sacrament of baptism, the church requires one eligible godparent, the other witness can be a Christian Witness, which means they are baptized in a Christian fiath.
