About the Knights of Columbus:
The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal organization for Catholic men18 and older.
In1882 at St. Mary’s Parish in New Haven CT, Blessed Fr. McGivney formed the organization as a mutual aid society for immigrants and their families. Currently, the Knights of Columbus has grown to over 2 million members in the US,Canada, Mexico, Cuba, the Philippines, Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania and most recently ROK.
The Immaculate Conception parish council, #18200,was charted in April 2023 and now has approximately 30 members. Meetings are usually on the fourth Monday of the month in Conahan Hall at 7PM.
Knights uphold four key principles as pillars of the order: Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and through the fourth degree, Patriotism. At the national and local levels, the Knights are active supporters of seminarians, the Special Olympics and Pro-life causes.
At Immaculate Conception, our Knights serve as ushers and assist at various parish events. Several times a year, the Knights host Pancake breakfasts to benefit the causes they support. Most recently, the Knights extended the idea of Social Sunday to the 4:30 PM Masses on Saturday and Sunday.
