WELCOME TO PREP

The Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) assists parents -- the first and primary teachers of the faith -- in the religious education and sacramental preparation of their children.

PREP text books are approved by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and follow the Archdiocesan Guidelines. As required by the Archdiocese, PREP catechists have completed Criminal and Child Abuse Clearances, as well as, the Safe Environment Training.

For the 2024-2025 year we plan to offer both in-person and homeschool options (on a limited basis). For in-person instruction, classes are held Sundays for Levels 1 through Confirmation (Fall of 7th Grade) in the school cafeteria at 10:30 A.M. PREP Dismissal is at 11:30 A.M. For those that homeschool, students will be provided with a textbook and guide to online resources. Online interactive reviews must be submitted to track progress, however, students/parents may work at their own pace adhering to a fall and spring deadline.

Tuition for in-person levels 1-6 is $150 per student ($170 if paid after June 15th). Tuition for level 7 is $100 + $75 Confirmation fee.  A Baptismal certificate must be provided with the registration form if a child has been baptized in another parish.

Families who participate in the Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) need to be registered in our parish. Children whose families are member of another parish must have a letter of permission from the pastor of that parish in order to participate in PREP at Immaculate Conception.
