Baptism Suppers
Our newest members of the parish are celebrated at the monthly Baptism Suppers at the rectory. For families who have not attended a Baptism class, our priests host a dinner where they can answer the questions of the new parents and get to know them before the baptism of the baby. A 'presenting couple' is also there to add their experiences to the evening.

News on the Jenkintown Police Force
As many of you may or not be aware, Jenkintown Borough Council is actively working towards reduction and/or dissolution of the Jenkintown Police Department. Less than 48 hours after the recent DCED presentation, Jenkintown Borough Manager George Locke has written to the Jenkintown Police Benevolent Association President and Jenkintown Chief of Police informing them that a layoff or layoffs are currently a real option for the Borough. The officers of the Jenkintown Police Department and the community of Jenkintown need your support. Police officers are already patrolling alone for certain shifts (meaning only one officer is on duty for the entire borough). We all know how unsafe this is. Abington Township Police Association has written to the community of Jenkintown, stating how a reduction in force is unsafe for not only Jenkintown, but for surrounding communities such as Abington and Cheltenham as well. We urge you to please contact your ward representatives and the mayor and let them know that you wish to maintain an independent and fully staffed police force and that one man patrols are unsafe for officers and residents. We have reason to believe that layoffs will take place by the end of the calendar year so please make your voices heard as soon as possible. Please attend the council November 25, 2024 at 7:00pm, and all meetings coming up that can be found on the borough website.
